Decoder, Piko 56122
The PIKO 56122 decoder is a compact, powerful multiprotocol locomotive decoder. Compatible with DCC and Motorola digital systems, it also operates in analog mode with DC or AC, including direction change via overvoltage pulse (Märklin system).
Operating at 18.75 kHz, it is suitable for DC motors and bell-armature motors (e.g., Faulhaber, Maxon, Escap) up to 1 A continuous current. Short-term higher currents are tolerated.
Motor characteristics are adjustable via minimum, medium, and maximum speed. Load regulation allows adaptation to different locomotive motors. The decoder features two direction-dependent light outputs.
Functions F3 and F4 control shunting mode (slow speed) and start/stop delay.
Programmable via PIKO Digi-Power-Box, DCC, or Märklin* controllers. All CVs can be programmed. Automatically detects DCC, Motorola, and analog operation; manual selection is also possible.
