The model by Roco reproduces the 628 409-5 diesel locomotive of the German Federal Railways (DB) from the IV-V era.
This locomotive is a further development of the 628.2 series, in particular the 628.4 series, which was put into service between 1992 and 1995.
The distinctive features of the 628.4 series include central double-leaf sliding doors, new bogies and an updated power unit.
The model has detailed transitions between the cars, separately mounted wipers and a complex design of the lower body.
The head/tail light and interior lighting can be switched via a DIP switch, and the train name display is illuminated.
