Steam Locomotive 310.20 with Sound, BBÖ, Roco 7110012, H0
A model of the Austrian Federal Railways (BBÖ) steam locomotive series 310.20 from the Second World War.
The locomotive was designed by the famous Austrian engineer Karl Gölsdorf in 1906 to improve the efficiency of high-speed passenger traffic. The design features a unique 1‘C2’ axle arrangement, which allows for the installation of a large boiler with a wide firebox.
The locomotive is equipped with a four-cylinder compound engine, which provides high power with a limited axle weight of 14.5 tonnes.
The model features a highly detailed chassis, a fine imitation of the control mechanism and metal wheels with thin spokes according to the NEM standard. The smoke box door opens and many separate parts have been added. The drive is carried out on two tender axles and via a cardan shaft to all three driving axles of the locomotive. It can be retrofitted with a smoke generator.
The locomotive is equipped with a NEM 652 interface for connecting a digital decoder and has variable bi-directional lighting depending on the direction of travel.
The H0 (1:87) scale with a track gauge of 16.5 mm is fully compatible with models from other manufacturers in this scale.
