PV40 rail car is a four-axle passenger carriage designed for railways with a track gauge of 750 mm. It was developed for narrow-gauge railways of industrial enterprises.
The rail car is equipped with manual and automatic brakes, water heating, and a toilet. The seating capacity in the carriage is 40, with a total passenger capacity including standing places of 96. Compared to its competitor, the PAFAWAG carriage, it offers a lower level of comfort. Complaints were related to the limited number of compartments and the stiffness of the ride. Due to its shortcomings, preference was given to its Polish competitor, and already purchased PV40 carriages were transferred to children's railways.
