Narrow-Gauge Ice Wagon, Grey, Miniland.UA, H0e
Ice Wagon by Miniland.UA Workshop. An exceptionally detailed and accurate replica of the wagon
The model is available in two modifications: |With Brake Platform| and |Without Brake Platform|
The model is fully assembled and painted (RAL 7035, Light Gray), Scale 1/87 (H0e)
Packaged in a wooden, craft box made by Miniland.UA from 3-mm MDF, ensuring safe transportation to any corner of the world.
The prototype of the model is an all-metal insulated ice wagon (Bautzen kühlwagen) from the Bautzen, GDR.
The wagon was designed for transporting perishable goods and was produced in Germany at the Bautzen plant for only three years.
The first units arrived in Ukraine around 1956-1957.
To control the temperature, thermometers were installed in the wagons, and the walls had built-in cooling pockets that could hold about 2 tons of ice.
Today, none of these wagons are operational in Ukraine. Up to 10 bodies have survived as "houses/warehouses".
