About the Prototype:
The PV40 is a four-axle passenger coach designed for 750 mm narrow-gauge railways. These coaches were widely used on the Borzhava narrow-gauge line, which passed through picturesque parts of Zakarpattia, serving both passenger and industrial transportation.
The coach was equipped with manual and automatic brakes, water heating, and a restroom. It was designed to seat 40 passengers, with a total capacity of up to 96 people. Compared to its Polish counterpart — the Pafawag coach — the PV40 offered a lower level of comfort, which later led to some of them being transferred to children's railways.
